Senior Legal Assistant
‘I handle each sale like it is for the sale of my own house’. This is Karen’s motto and she deals with each case whole-heartedly and with commitment.
Karen joined Trueman’s in August 2022 after worked for 15 years in the court service. As a Graduate Legal Executive with Cilex, Karen became part of the conveyancing team and quickly learnt the conveyancing process. In April 2023, Karen started to undertake her own sale files under the supervision of Louise Trueman. Karen has a good system for tracking the progress of each case and prides herself on chasing relevant parties, and keeping the transaction moving forward for clients. Karen always holds the best interests of the firm’s clients to her heart.
From a Chinese origin, Karen believes that her employment with Trueman’s will benefit the Chinese community in Oxford. Many Chinese, due to the language barrier, may choose to use solicitors in China Town, despite the extra cost. Having someone who is able to speak Chinese in the local area can save people time and money.
For those clients who are proficient in English, Karen is able to assist in checking and bi-lingual documentations and ensuring they are correct and understood.
Karen believes in a positive working relationship with other third parties and she has built an excellent network with others involved in the conveyancing process, including solicitors, council staff, estate agents and management companies.
Karen is developing her conveyancing knowledge by starting to work on her own purchase files and soon she will be able to add to her moto that she deals with all purchases as if she was purchasing it for herself.
